Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski expects third-year DT Destiny Vaeao to open the season as one of the Eagles’ starting defensive linemen.
A former UDFA, Vaeao has never started an NFL game, playing 268 snaps as a rookie and 242 for last year’s Super Bowl champs. Haloti Ngata was signed in March as a presumed starter, but he’s had a quiet summer at 34 years old. Vaeao may start, but the Eagles rotate up front as much as anyone.
