Los Angeles also sent DB Donte Deayon to the COVID list. It’s unclear whether Havenstein and Deayon are vaccinated, and it’s also not apparent if they tested positive or are just close contacts. This news comes just a day after Los Angeles put RB Darrell Henderson on the COVID list. Havenstein has started every week this season for the Rams, playing every snap in all games but one.

A star of Hard Knocks this summer, Deayon has been yo-yoing on and off the roster the past couple years. He appeared in just three games for the Rams last season.

Not tendered as a restricted free agent, Deayon comes back at a cheaper rate. He played 43 defensive snaps a year ago as a deep reserve.

Everything could change in the draft, but the Giants need someone to step up after they cut Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Undrafted out of Boise State, Deayon saw his first game action last season before ending up on injured reserve with a broken arm.

The second-year UDFA has played 93 snaps on defense this season and was getting some sub-package work the past two weeks with Eli Apple out.
