Texans signed Colorado LB Drew Lewis.
Lewis (6’2/229) spent three years at Colorado after transferring from JUCO, covering punts and kicks initially and starting in his final two seasons en route to 10.5 career TFLs, five sacks, and 11 pass breakups. Known for his high-end athleticism, Lewis predictably shined at the Buffaloes’ Pro Day with 4.5-flat speed and a bursty 10-foot-9 broad jump. Despite his lack of college dominance, Lewis’ special teams experience and raw tools give him a shot at an extended career with some potential to become an asset as a sub-package off-ball linebacker.
