Cardinals signed Calgary DB Elie Bouka.
Bouka (6'1, 205) may well have been drafted had he not torn his left Achilles’ last summer, wiping out his senior season. It was an unfortunate turn of events, because the 4.41 speedster shifted to defensive back full-time less than two years ago. Bouka will need to make it on special teams early while showing Arizona, a team that loves its defenders rangy and versatile, that he’s clay worth molding. If Bouka doesn’t make the Cards, he’ll head to the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders, which took him No. 24 overall in the CFL Draft.
