Bills signed cornerback Eric King, a fifth-round pick, to an undisclosed contract.
King, a two-time ACC first team selection, started 42 of 46 games during a four-year career at Wake Forest. The Bills still have two unsigned rookies a day before camp.

Titans CB Eric King fractured his forearm in Week 16.
He won’t play again until next season. King, a smallish former fifth-round pick from Wake Forest, saw most of his action in dime situations and on special teams. He’ll return to battle for a roster spot in 2008 training camp.

Lions CB Eric King has reportedly solidified nickel back duties.
King, a dimeback in a highly regarded Titans secondary the past couple of seasons, will be an upgrade on Brian Kelly and Ramzee Robinson.

Lions LE Cliff Avril (hamstring), nickel CB Eric King (shoulder), and WLB Ernie Sims (shoulder) are all “doubtful” for Week 3.
Sims, out indefinitely, will likely be replaced by DeAndre Levy. The Lions’ pass defense is in terrible shape with King out and LCB Phillip Buchanon (neck) questionable. Detroit’s pass rush will remain stagnant minus Avril. If the Redskins’ offense is going to get it together, it should be this week.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz revealed Monday that the shoulder injury CB Eric King suffered in Week 5 was “significant.”
Backup safety/special teamer Kalvin Pearson will move into the nickel back role indefinitely. King was not playing well, so his loss won’t change the Lions’ fortunes in the secondary. They’ll be burned by the pass all year.

Lions placed CB Eric King (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season.
King came over with coach Jim Schwartz from Tennessee this offseason hoping to prove he could be more than a special teamer. But the 27-year-old was a liability in coverage and made no big plays. He is signed through 2010.
