Ilyasova

The Bulls currently have six players in quarantine and three more injured. Ilyasova may step right unto decent minutes. He averaged 3.8 points in 8.7 minutes in 17 games for Utah last season, so even if he has a large role, it’s unlikely he provides much for fantasy teams aside from some 3-pointers.

Ilyasova isn’t a rotation player on most nights, so his availability is unlikely to have much of an impact as far as DFS/playoff fantasy is concerned.

This is a matchup between the NBA’s two best teams at the moment, so hopefully O’Neale can give it a go. If he can’t, Ersan Ilyasova may slide into the starting lineup.

The veteran is back after a one-game absence. He usually only sees a handful of minutes when the Jazz are mostly healthy, so leave him on the wire.

Ilyasova went off in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, but was not available to play in Monday’s rematch. On most nights he won’t be in the Jazz rotation, so his status won’t have an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned.

Ilyasova stepped up for the short-handed Jazz on Saturday but he may have over-exerted himself. We’ll call him day-to-day and his next chance to play comes Wednesday in Houston.

It doesn’t look like Ilyasova will be available for tonight’s game, but that means next to nothing with Rudy Gobert expected to return from his rest day.

Ilyasova was tremendous on Saturday, scoring 20 points with six made 3-pointers while Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert sat. Gobert is now probable to return and Favors is questionable. If they both play, Ilyasova’s fantasy value could drop significantly anyway.

After making four 3-point shots in his first eight games with the Jazz, he sunk all five of his attempts in the first quarter alone on Saturday. He became the fourth Jazz player to ever hit five 3s in a quarter. Without Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, and Donovan Mitchell, there were plenty of shots to go around. Ilyasova shouldn’t be expected to produce like this every night, but he could become a more significant contributor for as long as Mitchell sits.

Ilyasova inked a deal with the Jazz earlier this week. “I think he’s anxious to contribute in any way that he can,” coach Quin Snyder said on Thursday. “We don’t expect him to show up and be ready to go right away ... there’s an adjustment period, and we’re patient with him.” He’s not guaranteed playing time even when he does acclimate to his new team, especially while Georges Niang (12 minutes) is in the rotation.
