Twins designated C Jhonny Pereda for assignment.
Pereda is off the 40-man roster with the signings of Victor Caratini and Tyler Rogers now official. Pereda is just a depth piece, but teams are always looking for catching so there could be interest on the wire.

Tigers recalled RHP Brenan Hanifee from Triple-A Toledo.
The 27-year-old hurler will take the place of the injured Connor Seabold (ankle) in the Tigers’ bullpen. Hanifee was off to an underwhelming start at Triple-A Toledo, posting a 4.91 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 12/5 K/BB ratio over 11 innings in his first 10 appearances.
Who will play shortstop for Mets with Lindor hurt?
James Schiano talks about the "suddenly surging" Mets, analyzing how they will recover from "ironman" Francisco Lindor suffering a calf strain and sharing why New York is "in a bit of a pickle" at the shortstop position.

Tigers placed RHP Connor Seabold on the 15-day injured list with left ankle inflammation.
Seabold suffered the injury when he slipped and fell on the mound while throwing a pitch during Saturday’s contest against the Reds. He’s not expected to miss much more than the minimum time on the injured list. Brenan Hanifee was recalled from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move to take his place in the Tigers’ bullpen.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #45
Tatsuya Imai (arm) will make a minor league rehab start at Double-A Corpus Christi on Tuesday.
If all goes well with that outing, it’s possible that Imai could be cleared to rejoin an Astros’ rotation that has been absolutely decimated by injuries this season. Prior to landing on the injured list, he had posted a troublesome 7.27 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and a 13/11 K/BB ratio over 8 2/3 innings in his first three starts for the Astros.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #35
Guardians recalled RHP Colin Holderman from Triple-A Columbus.
With Shawn Armstrong (groin) hitting the injured list on Sunday, Holderman will get another chance to show what he can do out of the Guardians’ bullpen. The 30-year-old right-hander has posted a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 3/2 K/BB ratio over three innings in his first two appearances with the club.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #43
Guardians placed RHP Shawn Armstrong on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 23, 2026, with a right groin strain.
It’s a tough break for the Guardians, as Armstrong has been one of their most reliable bullpen arms this season. Colin Holderman was recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to take his place on Sunday.
  • PIT Center Fielder #15
Oneil Cruz is not in the Pirates’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Brewers.
Cruz will get a breather with left-hander Kyle Harrison toeing the slab for the Brewers on Sunday. Billy Cook will draw a rare start in center field and will bat ninth for the Pirates.
  • BOS Right Fielder #19
Roman Anthony (back) returned to the Red Sox’ starting lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Orioles in Baltimore.
The 21-year-old phenom missed each of the team’s previous four games due to a lingering back issue. He’s off to a slow start at the plate this season, slashing an underwhelming .225/.361/.325 with just one homer, four RBI, two stolen bases and a 25/16 K/BB ratio across his first 97 plate appearances.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman #27
Jose Altuve is not in the Astros’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s battle against the Yankees.
It appears to be nothing more than a regular day of maintenance for the 35-year-old infielder. Braden Shewmake will start in his place at second base and will bat ninth against Yankees’ right-hander Luis Gil on Sunday afternoon in Houston.
  • WSH Relief Pitcher #79
Nationals recalled RHP Andre Granillo from Triple-A Rochester.
The Nationals were in need of a fresh arm on Sunday so Granillo will get another opportunity to pitch out of the team’s bullpen. He has struggled to a 12.46 ERA and 2.54 WHIP over 4 1/3 innings through five appearances with the Nationals this season. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes.
  • WSH Relief Pitcher #75
Nationals recalled RHP Paxton Schultz from Triple-A Rochester.
Schultz was just optioned to Triple-A Rochester last Saturday, but he’ll rejoin the Nationals’ bullpen with Clayton Beeter (forearm) landing on the injured list on Sunday. Schultz has registered a 4.50 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 7/1 K/BB ratio over eight innings in his five appearances at the big league level this season.
