Welcome to Playing the Tips!

Each week this will be the one-stop resource to soak in all the picks from our fantasy staffers at Rotoworld.com.

Page 1 is going to look at Daily Fantasy Sports picks (FanDuel, Yahoo, and DraftKings).

Page 2 will have a look at One-and-Done options as well as PGATOUR.com’s fantasy game.

Daily Fantasy Sports [DFS]

I will be giving out selections for one team for each DFS site, per week.

These lineups will be entered into a large-entry Guaranteed Prize Pool. That means we need to take a risk or two, in order to separate ourselves from the field.

The idea is to provide you a list of names to consider. I would not recommend copying these teams, golfer for golfer. Duplicate teams are no fun and don’t help anyone.

FanDuel Picks:

Adam Scott (10,800): His price is slowly rising but it’s rising much slower on FD compared to other sites. Scott is putting with confidence and he’s a past champ at PGA National.

Jason Kokrak (9,400): After a course horse, we have Kokrak now who has yet to pop at PGA National. Arriving with top 20s in three of his last four starts should help.

J.T. Poston (8,900): He’s a Sea Island guy so these bermuda greens should be to his liking. Finished T27 in his 2017 Honda debut and this is his first return visit.

Webb Simpson (10,600): Returned to PGA National last year after a seven-year break. Picked it right back up with a T5 last year and we should see him flirt with contention again this week.

Luke List (10,200): Another big name that should really enjoy a return to these bermuda surfaces. He has top 10s in two of his last three visits to PGA National.

Lucas Glover (9,700): The theme continues. These bermuda specialists are a bit underprice this week. This Clemson product has seven top 20s in eight starts this season.

DraftKings Picks:

Webb Simpson (9600): We’ve only seen him three times since the start of 2019 so we’re getting a bit of a discount as we return to Bermuda Country.

Byeong Hun An (9100): Finished T5 here last year on his debut.

Emiliano Grillo (8900): A lot of history with PGA National, including his amateur days. Calls this one of his favorite courses, so let’s pile on.

Keith Mitchell (6700): Getting a discount after ho-hum West Coast results. He’s a Georgia Bulldog that should really be glad to be back in the Southeast.

Austin Cook (6900): Sticking with the Southeast/Bermuda theme, Cookie has been quiet to start 2019. He’s been enjoying time as a new dad and that’s given him a nice excuse to skip most of the West Coast Swing which I’m sure he’s glad to miss anyway, not having to deal with poa annua. Cook is a steady cut-maker who is a steal at sub$7K. He will help keep this lineup unique since recency bias is a huge factor in ownership and we just haven’t seen enough of Cookie for him to be popular.

Zach Johnson (8700): Still looking for his first top 10 at PGA National (3-for-5 with a T27 in 2017 being his best). It should fit him a little better than that, so I’ll take a chance this week.

Yahoo Picks:

Justin Thomas ($50): It’s a hefty price tag but relatively soft pricing allows us to easily fit him in on Yahoo.

Sergio Garcia ($40): Was hunting DJ and Rory for most of the week in Mexico. Should have plenty of confidence as he heads to a course that suits his eye.

Webb Simpson ($41): Finished T5 here last year. Will be really glad to get back on bermuda greens.

Graeme McDowell ($20): Four finishes of T9 or better here since 2011.

Trey Mullinax ($22): He’s gained strokes off-the-tee in 12 of his last 13 ShotLink starts. That should help him navigate this water park at PGA National.

Sam Burns ($24): Finished T8 in his debut here last year. Has done nearly all of his PGA TOUR damage on bermuda greens.
