From the fourth-to-last pairing, World No. 38 Patrick Reed walked off with bogey toward a 2-over 35-37=72 in R4 of the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth to wrap on 5-under 275, down two spots to T7.
The Texan, who drops to a still impressive 4-for-7 as an 18-hole leader/co-leader, does hang on for a second top 10 in six appearances, matching a T7 in 2020, and notches his second top 10 of the season in 18 events, first since a back-door T2 at the Bermuda 15 starts ago back in October. For the week, he posted laps of 66-66-71-72, totaled 14 birdies against nine bogeys, and ranked 33rd SG: Off-the-Tee (0.344), 15th SG: Approach (3.509), 17th SG: Around (2.621), losing strokes ARG on Sunday (-1.631) for the first time this week, and 26th SG: Putting (2.018). The 31-year-old, who checked in off a T34 at last week’s PGA in Oklahoma, is in the published field at the upcoming Memorial Tournament.
