Rotoworld’s Stanley Cup Picks

At the start of the 2016-17 campaign, not a lot of people would have predicted that the Nashville Predators would have made it to the Stanley Cup Final, but they’ve won people over as they advanced. The Rotoworld staff could be seen as an example of that as they heavily favored Nashville to beat Anaheim and, as you’ll see, even in a matchup against Pittsburgh we’re pretty divided on who will win the Stanley Cup.

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out Rotoworld’s Player News, and follow @Rotoworld_ HK and @RyanDadoun on Twitter.

When it comes to our predictions for the conference finals, we were pretty successful overall with Michael Finewax, Brian Rosenbaum, Ryan Dadoun (me), Corey Abbott, Marty York, Mitch Goldenberg, and Aaron Solomon all picking both Pittsburgh and Nashville to advance. However, only Aaron and Joey Alfieri correctly projected that it would take the Penguins seven games to eliminate the Senators while Michael, Corey, Mitch, and Gus Katsaros each predicted that Nashville would win its series in six games.

In the first round, Michael, Brian, and Corey led the group with six correct picks while Corey, Joey, and Mitch were tied for the lead in the second round with three correct picks. Special credit should also go to Gus, who is the only one of us that has picked Nashville to advance in every round thus far.

Below are our picks for the Stanley Cup Final, but if you want a more extensive preview, you can check out my article on it here.
