Seahawks C Robbie Tobeck will undergo “minor” elbow surgery, missing 7-10 days of practice.
Second-year pro Chris Spencer will move back to center from guard in the meantime. Seattle has solid offensive line depth.
  • Seattle re-signs C Robbie Tobeck to a two-year deal. He will earn $1.785 million plus a $250,000 signing bonus.
Tobeck is a 12-year veteran who also fits the new Seattle mold. He’s a hard working and reasonably priced character guy. He’s very durable, having made 64 straight starts. He’s an anchor and the Seattle offensive line is one of the best in football. This was a signing that the Seahawks needed to get done and did.
  • Seahawks C Robbie Tobeck (elbow) returned to practice Monday.
    He’ll be Seattle’s starter again in 2006.
  • C Robbie Tobeck (hip) is questionable to play in Week 12.
Tobeck missed time with the flu, but is now hurting from a hip injury. “It’s one of those seasons where things happen and there’s no real great explanation for it,” coach Mike Holmgren said.
  • Seahawks C Robbie Tobeck has been hospitilized with an abcess in his hip.
He won’t play Monday night. The team’s line will also be without RT Sean Locklear, which doesn’t bode well for Shaun Alexander.
  • Seahawks C Robbie Tobeck may miss several weeks with a hip injury.
2005 first-rounder Chris Spencer will fill in. Shaun Alexander ran for 201 yards behind Spencer Monday night, so he doesn’t present a big drop off.
