Bucs WR Freddie Martino caught 4-of-4 targets for 56 yards in Sunday’s Week 13 win over the Chargers.
They lost Cecil Shorts (knee) and Adam Humphries (concussion) in this one, so Martino stepped up to finish second on the Bucs in receiving behind Cameron Brate on a day where Mike Evans (3-38-0) got shut down by Casey Hayward. A third-year UDFA out of “North Greenville,” Martino stands 6-foot-0, 198 with 4.49 wheels. We never would anticipate Martino becoming a legitimate fantasy factor, but he suddenly has some opportunity on his side.

Bucs re-signed WR Freddie Martino and LB Adarius Glanton.
Both players were exclusive rights free agents. A 2014 UDFA, Martino caught the first eight passes of his career last season. He’ll be a long shot to make the 53-man roster.

Falcons promoted WR Freddie Martino from the practice squad.
Veteran Courtney Roby was released in a corresponding roster move. Even with Harry Douglas (foot) still week to week, Martino won’t contribute outside special teams.
