Improve your game by simply adding Arccos

Getting better at golf is often associated with beating balls at the range and countless hours chipping and putting on the practice green. But if you don’t know where the faults in your game lie, how do you know what to practice?

Sure, maybe you have a general idea. But think of it this way - would you be comfortable with having a general idea of how much money you have in your bank account? Or do you want to know exactly how much is in there? That’s what I thought.

Now, with Arccos, you can capture and save every aspect of your round on your iPhone or Apple Watch, and the process is so seamless that you won’t even know anything out of the ordinary is happening.

“It’s a platform to basically track your game, track your performance and collect all the data as golfers that we never knew,” said Sal Syed, Arccos Golf CEO and co-founder, at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. “As golfers, we’ve just been and golfing and not really thinking about what’s good and bad about our game and this gives you the insight that never before was possible.”

Arccos comes with 14 sensors that screw into the top of each club in your bag and quickly pair with the free app via Bluetooth, and “that’s when the real fun begins,” says Syed.

After the one-time pairing process is complete, Arccos tracks your game without any more work from you. And it’s up to you how involved you want to be during your round.

If you want to simply play without any interruptions, go for it. Arccos will track every shot and you can study it whenever you get some free time. But you can also check on your round in real time, with the ability to instantly know your average and longest drives, club usage and distance, greens and fairways in regulation, and putts per hole.

By keeping track of every shot, Arccos then breaks down all five facets of your game - driving, approach, chipping, sand and putting - even giving each a handicap for every round, to instantly calculate your overall handicap, as Syed explains in the video below:

With all of this technology at your fingertips, this should go without saying, but Arccos also doubles as a GPS device, giving you accurate distances to the front, middle and back of greens. And the more information that is entered into Arccos, the more accurate it becomes. So, not that you needed one, but the addition of Arccos to your game gives you another reason to play more golf.

The Arccos GPS tracking system retails for $299. For more information or to make a purchse, visit Arccos Golf online.
