IRVING, Texas – Brendon Todd knew exactly where he stood coming to the final green during the third round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

“Walking into the 18th green, I knew a birdie would get me to the last group,” he acknowledged. “So that was a little bit of motivation.”

Todd holed the short birdie putt to claim a round of 2-under 68 that leaves him tied for the lead with Louis Oosthuizen heading into the final round – and playing in the final group for a second straight day.

“I think it’s going to be a great opportunity to see how I measure up against some really great players over the last 10 years,” he said. “Simple as that.”

Todd is seeking his first career PGA Tour victory. He owns three top 10s in 76 career starts, with a best finish of T-6 at this year’s Humana Challenge and Valero Texas Open.
