Rollins Heading Toward Div II Title

LONGWOOD, Fla. -- The Rollins College womens golf team will take a commanding lead into the final round of the NCAA II National Championships at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes on Saturday.

The Tars shot a third round score of 296 to increase their total lead to 44 strokes. Over the first three days, Rollins has shot a 902, with Florida Southern and Northeastern State tied for second at 946. The Tars will tee off the final round at 11:50 a.m. (ET) on Saturday morning.

Sophomore Mariana De Biase remains in the lead after shooting a 74 in the third round. For the tournament De Biase has four over par, 220. She has a seven stroke lead over teammate Freddie Seeholzer, who shot a 74 on Day 3, and Florida Southern’s Pamela Feggans.

Defending individual champion Charlotte Campbell moved up significantly after firing a third-round best 73, tying for fourth place with a 229. Junior Ulrika Ljungman is also tied for fourth place with a 229, and Sabrina Gassner is tied for eleventh with a 232.
