Free agent CB Greg Reid will undergo a second ACL surgery and should be ready for football activities in October.
Reid (5-foot-8, 190) was dismissed from Florida State prior to the 2012 season. He transferred to Valdosta State, but tore his ACL in August and didn’t play a down. Reid worked out at the Seminoles’ Pro Day and ran an underwhelming 4.69 forty with a 30-inch vertical. The ACL was reportedly “feeling loose” post-surgery, so Reid is opting for the second operation. Reid can return kicks and man the slot in coverage. He was viewed as one of the top undrafted free agents after not being selected over the weekend.

Rams CB Greg Reid was arrested Saturday in Lowndes County, Georgia for violating his probation.
Reid’s probation stems from a 2012 arrest for possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license. He’s currently still in jail and is being held without bond. Reid was just signed by the Rams last week.

    Rams signed CB Greg Reid.
A 2013 undrafted free agent, Reid has suffered two tears of his left ACL, but is finally back to full health. Reid was an explosive athlete before the injuries, but will be facing long odds of cracking the Rams’ 53-man roster.

Rams waived or released CB Greg Reid, LB Lawrence Wilson, WR Emory Blake, G Travis Bond, DE Kourtnei Brown, S Christian Bryant, DT Matt Conrath, S Avery Cunningham, WR Austin Franklin, QB Garrett Gilbert, DT Deantre Harlan, LB Aaron Hill, T Sean Hooey, LB Etienne Sabino, TE Brad Smalley, LB Phillip Steward, T Mitchell Van Dyk, WR Justin Veltung, OL Brandon Washington, LB Lawrence Wilson and CB Darren Woodard.
Reid, an UDFA, was a favorite of Rams Twitter, even causing some fans to call him the team’s best signing of the offseason. That’s hilarious. He twice tore his left ACL and isn’t the player he was at Florida State. Reid can’t crack a Rams roster that needs corner help with LCB Trumaine Johnson (knee) sidelined.
