Titans signed DB Ibraheim Campbell, formerly of the Packers.
Campbell has bounced around the league in recent years and has settled in as a special teamer and depth option at box safety. Expect him to take on the same exact role with the Titans. He will be 28 years old this upcoming season.

Browns S Ibraheim Campbell (concussion) returned to practice Thursday.
Campbell had been out since the preseason opener. It is not clear if he is out of the protocol, but this return to practice at least gives him a shot to play in the third preseason game on Saturday night. Campbell looked on track to start before the injury, but first-round rookie Jabrill Peppers may have the inside track now.

Ibraheim Campbell is slotted in as the Browns’ starting strong safety.
This was expected after Cleveland moved on from Donte Whitner in April, and nothing happened during the offseason program to change the depth chart. Jordan Poyer will replace Tashaun Gipson at free safety to form a completely new starting duo this season.

Browns S Ibraheim Campbell left Thursday’s preseason opener with a possible concussion.
Campbell got bulldozed by Saints RB Alvin Kamara on the game’s opening drive. He did manage to leave the field under his own power. The 2016 fourth-rounder is penciled in at strong safety. First-rounder Jabrill Peppers immediately entered the game in Campbell’s place.

Browns S Ibraheim Campbell has entered the league’s concussion protocol.
Campbell exited Thursday’s preseason opener following a collision with Saints running back Alvin Kamara on the game’s opening drive. His concussion was later confirmed and now he’s been placed in the league’s protocol. The 2015 fourth-rounder fared poorly over 418 snaps last season, earning PFF’s No. 80 grade out of 91 qualifiers at safety.

ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon predicts fourth-round S Ibraheim Campbell will make the team’s final 53-man roster.
McManamon sees Jordan Poyer as Tashaun Gipson’s primary backup at free safety but believes Campbell’s play on special teams will be enough to secure a spot. According to McManamon, Gipson, Poyer, Donte Whitner and Johnson Bademosi are all locks to make the team. Cleveland kept six safeties last season.

Browns signed fourth-round S Ibraheim Campbell to a four-year contract.
Campbell has a ton of experience as a 45-game starter at Northwestern. He’ll compete for snaps as the No. 3 safety behind starters SS Donte Whitner and FS Tashaun Gipson and could be the heir apparent to Whitner in time.

Browns selected Northwestern S Ibraheim Campbell with the No. 115 overall in the 2015 NFL draft.
Campbell (5'11/208) made 45 college starts, finishing his career with 11 interceptions and six forced fumbles. He was selected second-team All-Big Ten as a senior by the conference’s coaches. Campbell ran 4.54/4.56 at the Wildcats’ Pro Day, adding a 33-inch vertical with 23 reps on the bench. A tone-setting box safety, Campbell could become an IDP factor if he develops into a starter, which is a distinct possibility based on his college profile. At worst, Campbell should contribute on special teams.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer expects the Browns to start Ibraheim Campbell at strong safety.
The 2015 fourth-rounder is one of the reasons the Browns moved on from Donte Whitner. Campbell played only 102 snaps as a rookie, but graded positively in coverage and run support at PFF. Should he indeed nail down the job, Campbell will offer high tackle upside at box safety in DC Ray Horton’s scheme.
