Jets signed WR Jehu Chesson to a reserve/future contract.
Drafted 139th overall out of Michigan in 2017, Chesson spent last season on the Redskins’ practice squad. The Liberia native has totaled three catches for 25 yards on six targets over 24 NFL appearances. He’s also returned three kickoffs for a combined 65 yards.

    Redskins waived WR Jehu Chesson.
Despite whittling their receiving room and moving on from Darvin Kidsy and (inevitably) Josh Doctson, Chesson still finds himself on the outside looking in. A fourth-round pick by the Chiefs in 2017, Chesson could potentially land on a franchise’s practice squad by the end of the weekend.

Chiefs traded up with the Vikings to select Michigan WR Jehu Chesson with the No. 139 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Chesson (6’2/204) made 25 starts for the Wolverines, collecting a 114-1,639-12 (14.4 YPR) career receiving line and returning a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown as a junior. He earned first-team All-Big Ten from the conference’s coaches in 2015, but slipped to honorable mention last year. Chesson did help himself in Indy, running 4.47 and showing explosion in the broad jump (11’). Turning 24 later this year, Chesson is old-ish for a rookie and was a body catcher on tape, also struggling to make much happen after the catch. Chesson profiles as a short-area possession receiver who may best fit in the slot.

Chiefs signed fourth-round WR Jehu Chesson to a four-year contract.
Fifth-round LB Ukeme Eligwe and sixth-round DB Leon McQuay also signed their rookie deals. Chesson played his college ball at Michigan, posting an 114-1,639-12 (14.4 YPR) career line in four seasons. Chesson is old for a rookie, but he has size (6’2/204) and athleticism (4.47, 132-inch broad jump) on his side.

    Chiefs waived WR Jehu Chesson.
A fourth-round pick last year, Chesson caught two passes for 18 yards as a rookie. He never looked close to pushing for real playing time in camp. Perhaps the Chiefs attempt to stash him on the practice squad.

Chiefs declared WR WR Jehu Chesson, QB Tyler Bray, OL Parker Ehinger, LB Ukeme Eligwe, DL Jarvis Jenkins, OL Mitch Morse and CB DJ White inactive for Week 3 against the Chargers.
Ehinger is out with a knee issue while Morse has a foot injury. The rest are healthy scratches. Dee Ford (shoulder), Justin Houston (illness) and Reggie Ragland (knee) are all active for KC.
