Eagles RB Will Shipley (oblique) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 4 against the Buccaneers.
Shipley should resume No. 2 running back duties and can be stashed as a high-upside player in re-draft formats. Stud RT Lane Johnson (stinger) practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. The Eagles lost star OLB Nolan Smith (triceps) to injured reserve earlier this week. He will be eligible to return after missing four games. They got good news on LB Zack Baun (knee), LB Jihaad Campbell (triceps) and backup QB Tanner McKee (right thumb), though. All three are good to go. Unfortunately, CB Adoree’ Jackson (groin) is doubtful.
  • PHI Linebacker #53
Eagles LB Zack Baun (knee) resumed practicing on Thursday.
Baun, LB Jihaad Campbell (triceps) and Adoree’ Jackson (groin) all took the day off on Wednesday, which was slightly alarming given the Eagles’ other defensive injuries. Eagles OLB Nolan Smith (triceps) and CB Jakorian Bennett were placed on injured reserve yesterday. Baun, Campbell and Jackson should all be good to go for Week 4, barring setbacks.
  • PHI Linebacker #53
Eagles LB Zack Baun (knee) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
Baun missed Wednesday with a knee issue, his first instance of an injury in 2025. Also out on Wednesday were LB Jihaad Campbell (triceps) and Adoree’ Jackson (groin). The Eagles’ front seven has been driven by Baun and Campbell’s contributions and absences in Week 4 would leave the middle of the field open for the Buccaneers. If Jackson misses time, Kelee Ringo is next in line for opportunities.

Eagles signed No. 31 overall pick LB Jihaad Campbell to a four-year contract.
Second-round safety Andrew Mukuba is the only unsigned draft pick for Philly. Campbell is currently recovering from surgery related to the torn labrum he suffered in his final collegiate season. The versatile defender has been observing the inside linebackers in Philly’s offseason program, giving us some idea of where he will play to start his career. After trading up one spot to land Campbell in the first round, it’s safe to assume the Eagles will ramp up his workload as soon as he is healthy.

Eagles LB Jihaad Campbell observed rookie minicamp with the inside linebacker group on Friday, as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery.
Campbell underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder back in March, and he was not expected to participate in the Eagles’ rookie minicamp. His attendance as an observer can be viewed as an overall positive development. Campbell’s grouping with the inside linebackers is noteworthy since he thrived as an inside linebacker and part-time EDGE at Alabama, and The Athletic’s Brooks Kubena notes, Eagles GM Howie Roseman “refused to categorize Campbell as only an off-ball linebacker, instead emphasizing the team’s desire to disrupt the passing game.” The initial inside linebacker grouping suggests this will be his primary role, but it is worth monitoring which group he joins when the two-day minicamp resumes on Saturday, and when mandatory minicamp begins on June 10.

Eagles traded up with the Chiefs to select Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Philly gave the Chiefs the No. 164 pick to move up one spot and get their guy. Campbell (6’3/235) is a two-year starter and early declaree who emerged as a true blue chip prospect with a First Team All-SEC caliber 2024 season. He led the Tide with 117 tackles, 11.5 TFLs, and 5.0 sacks, with a Power Four-leading 65 stops and a spectacular 5.9 percent missed tackle rate. Campbell verified the athleticism he showed on tape with a blinding 4.52s 40-yard dash (96th percentile) and a 99th percentile 10’07” broad jump. A well-rounded performer who can cause havoc on the inside or outside, he earned 76th percentile grades in coverage, run support, tackling, and on the pass rush. When Campbell squares up to a ball carrier and channels his power, they rarely escape his grasp as is evidenced by his 88.2 tackle grade, which ranked fourth in the Power Four last year. He was effective on the edge when deployed there as well, utilizing a long-arm technique paired with a deft dip/rip move to chase quarterbacks off their spot and create disruption. He will sometimes try to slide around blocks in the run game, creating lanes as opposed to holding the point of attack before shedding to make the play. When tackling, he sometimes meets rushers in the hole with a high pad level, giving up leverage and allowing stout runners to get into his chest which gives up his leverage. Campbell is a do-it-all playmaker with the length, speed, and tenacity to be a core player for the Eagles.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reports Jihaad Campbell (shoulder) had surgery after the combine and teams are projecting him as a PUP candidate.
That doesn’t mean Campbell won’t be ready for the start of the season, but it does mean he might have a slow training camp and a tougher time making an instant impact. Campbell has been widely considered a candidate to go in the back half of the first round. It’s possible this shoulder injury slides him into Day 2, but Breer notably doesn’t go as far as to say that.

Alabama signed four-star 2022 EDGE Jihaad Campbell.
With a 0.9677 24/7 Sports composite ranking, Campbell (6'3/215) adds another talented defender to an already talent-rich recruiting class that ranks number one in the nation. After de-committing from Clemson last week, the Crimson Tide outlasted Texas A&M for the talented edge rusher. Campbell is the ninth-ranked edge rusher in the class and the 78th-ranked overall player.

  • PHI Linebacker
Clemson received a verbal commitment from four-star 2022 DE Jihaad Campbell.
The rich get richer, as Campbell (6'3/215) will join an already loaded Clemson defensive front that returns five-star defensive linemen Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy, among others. The IMG Academy grad carries a .9430 grade and is considered the fifth best edge defender from the 2022 prep class. Though he possesses a slight frame, Campbell has fast twitch quickness and the ability to cover in space. An impressive athlete, he posted the highest vertical jump of any non-skill position player on the IMG roster last year while running the short shuttle in 4.2 seconds.
