Scheyer

Scheyer, who went undrafted in 2010, will look for the opportunity to improve his playing time from where it was during his tenure in Israel.

He’s clearly a longshot to make the team, but was highly effective at Duke. If it’s true the Jazz are also looking at Earl Watson and he were to make the team, Scheyer would have no chance of making the team.

Scheyer, who went to Duke, is possibly the most popular player not signed to a team right now. Add in the fact he has Bartelstein pulling the strings for him, and it would not be surprising to see him on an opening-night roster this season.

He’s represented by Mark Bartelstein and it’s not out of the question that he could make the team’s final roster, if he has a good camp.

After being undrafted out of college, Scheyer reportedly received an invite to Clippers training camp, but with the lockout in full effect, that’s not something he can readily rely on. Most interestingly, because Scheyer is Jewish, his signing will not count against the league cap on foreign players for his new team.
