The Vikes are going with Berry over Britton Colquitt. Berry previously served as the Steelers’ punter from 2015-20, clocking in at 15th in net-punting average (40.5) last season. 2021 will be his age-30 season.

Berry was 30th in net average last season and landed 25 punts inside the 20-yard line, good for 15th in the league. He’s very much an average punter.

He spent last year with Pro Kick Australia, a program designed to transition Aussie kickers to the NFL. Berry will push Steelers incumbent Brad Wing, who placed 31st in gross punting average and 21st in net (38.8) in 2014. Richie Leone is also on the roster.
  • Steelers P Jordan Berry will undergo shoulder surgery and be sidelined 4-6 months.
Berry was one of the worst punters in the league this season as a rookie UDFA. He averaged just 39.1 net yards per punt and is no lock to keep his job.
  • Steelers re-signed P Jordan Berry to a one-year contract.
The Steelers’ punter since 2015, Berry had been headed for restricted free agency. Berry’s 39.8 net punting average was just 23rd in the league in 2017.
