Falcons selected Washington CB Jordan Miller with the No. 172 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Miller (6’1/185) was a two-year starter and four-year contributor in the Huskies’ secondary, logging 18 career pass breakups with six picks and three forced fumbles yet never receiving all-conference honors in the Pac 12. Miller showed NFL-level long speed (4.49) at the Combine and held his own in the vertical (37") and broad (10’5") jumps but enters the pros needing desperately to add strength considering his lanky frame and six bench-press reps. A developmental track-type athlete, Miller is a long shot to become an NFL starter. This is the second corner the Falcons have drafted, with Kendall Sheffield coming off the board in round 4.
