Browns elevated RB Jordan Wilkins from the practice squad.
This is most notable for what it insinuates regarding the expected game-day status of lead back Jerome Ford, who is listed as questionable for Sunday. Kareem Hunt would seemingly be in line to draw the start should Ford be unable to go against the Seahawks, although Pierre Strong is also on hand for early down work.
  • CLE Running Back #29
Browns signed RB Jordan Wilkins, formerly of the Colts.
The five-year veteran has appeared in 54 games as a professional, all but one of which came as a member of the Colts. He has largely served as a backup throughout his career having started only four games. Wilkins will likely be competing with Demetric Felton and John Kelly for a depth role behind Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford.
  • Running Back
Colts activated RB Jordan Wilkins to the team’s 53-player roster.
Wilkins will likely be the No. 3 back behind Zack Moss and Deon Jackson after Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday morning. Wilkins has bounced between the practice squad and active roster this season, seeing six carries and five targets in two games. He would be forced into action if Jackson or Moss get dinged up.

  • FA Running Back
Colts promoted RB Phillip Lindsay from the practice squad.
Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins will be part of the Colts’ Week 9 backfield with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) out. Deon Jackson is the favorite to lead Indy in touches, but that could change if Zack Moss, who the Colts traded for at the deadline, is active. Lindsay played over 30% of snaps in both games Taylor missed earlier this season.

  • Running Back
    Titans re-signed RB Jordan Wilkins.
The former fifth-rounder of the Colts, Wilkins was cut by Indy last October before latching on with the Titans’ practice squad. With D’Onta Foreman signing with the Panthers and Darrynton Evans cut, perhaps Wilkins can compete for Derrick Henry’s backup job.

  • Running Back
Titans signed RB Jordan Wilkins to their practice squad.
Wilkins, 27, will be experienced veteran depth behind D’Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard with Jeremy McNichols still working his way back from injury. Wilkins has averaged a robust 4.9 YPC on 195 career carries with the Colts across 49 games.

  • Running Back
    Colts waived RB Jordan Wilkins.
Wilkins, the Colts’ No. 4 back, has played just one offensive snap this season. He’s been sidelined with a non-football illness the last three weeks. The release suggests the Colts plan to hold on to Marlon Mack ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline. Wilkins, an experienced backup with four career starts, could draw interest on waivers

  • Running Back
Colts declared RB Jordan Wilkins, QB Jacob Eason, DT Khalil Davis, DE Kwity Paye, DE Isaac Rochell, RT Braden Smith, and CB Rock Ya-Sin inactive for Week 5 against the Ravens.
Wilkins is out with an illness. Paye has a hamstring injury, and Ya-Sin is dealing with an ankle issue.

  • Running Back
WFNI’s Kevin Bowen believes Jordan Wilkins has “looked better” than Marlon Mack at Colts’ camp.
Mack, a year removed from a torn Achilles, is still “getting back to his old self,” according to Bowen. It’s potentially good news for Jonathan Taylor’s workload, as the Colts may look to ease Mack back into the No. 2 role. A healthy Mack remains the favorite for early down carries if Taylor misses time.

  • Running Back
Colts placed RB Jordan Wilkins on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It’s unclear if Wilkins is COVID positive or a high-risk close contact. If it’s the latter, he would be eligible for a potential Wild Card game. The former, out for Week 1 of the postseason. From a depth standpoint, it’s not a huge deal for the Colts after they reduced their three-man committee to a two-man ordeal down the stretch, but it leaves them with zero room for injury error in the backfield going into a must-win game against the Jaguars.
