    Chiefs released LB Kamalei Correa.
It’s the second time he’s been released since February, when Jacksonville parted ways with the sixth-year pass rusher. Correa started six games for the Jaguars in 2020 after coming over from Tennessee, where he recorded five sacks in 2019. He was placed on the reserve/left squad list in December for personal reasons and never returned. The 2016 second round pick will probably land on another roster this summer.

    Jaguars released LB Kamalei Correa.
Correa started six games after coming over from Tennessee last year. He was placed on the reserve/left squad list in December for personal reasons and never returned. Correa has flashed as pass rusher but never lived up to his draft status. The 2016 second-rounder will be looking for his fourth team in the last five seasons this offseason.

Jaguars placed LB Kamalei Correa on the reserve/left squad list.
Correa, who was acquired from the Titans in October, left the team for “personal reasons.” He has not played since Week 12. The 2016 second-rounder’s NFL future is suddenly in doubt.

Jaguars acquired OLB Kamalei Correa from the Titans.
The Titans were shopping Correa and had been expected to cut him if they couldn’t find a trade partner. The former No. 42 overall pick of the Ravens in 2016, Correa recorded 8.5 sacks for Tennessee the previous two seasons but was buried on the depth chart this year and had played just 20% of the defensive snaps. He missed some time on the COVID-19 list during Tennessee’s outbreak.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Titans are attempting to trade OLB Kamalei Correa.
Correa just returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list this week. He was inactive Tuesday and has been limited to 39 snaps. The Titans are expected to release Correa if they can’t get a Day 3 pick for him.

Titans OLB Kamalei Correa was moved to the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Correa was the fourth player that tested positive inside the Titans’ organization this week. Correa’s snaps dropped from 29% in Week 1 down to 15% in Week 3, taking a backseat to Vic Beasley in the pass rushing rotation. The Titans and Steelers Week 4 game is expected to be played on Monday.

Titans re-signed OLB Kamalei Correa to a one-year contract.
It’s worth “up to” $3.5 million. 26 later this month, Correa is coming off a career-best five sacks last season while playing 593 snaps. The former second-round pick of the Ravens was traded to the Titans ahead of the 2018 campaign and has 8.5 sacks across two seasons in Nashville after registering zero in Baltimore. Correa will compete with newcomer Vic Beasley, Harold Landry, and Reggie Gilbert for snaps in a Cameron Wake-less defense.

Ravens second-round pick Kamalei Correa saw snaps at inside linebacker at OTAs.
Correa is a pass rusher by trade, but The Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Zrebiec said he played “quite a bit” at inside linebacker last week. The Ravens are thin both outside and inside at linebacker, and it is possible Correa is being cross-trained at both spots to give him the best opportunity for playing time. Correa’s primary job should remain rushing the passer.

CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Bo Smolka reports second-round LB Kamalei Correa “saw a lot of reps” at inside linebacker during OTAs.
Correa was expected to play outside linebacker, but there were reports he was cross training at inside linebacker during the offseason program. Perhaps those reports did not go far enough. Zach Orr has been penciled in as the starter opposite C.J. Mosley on the inside, but it sounds like Correa will be given a shot to earn a role.

The Ravens now view 2016 second-rounder Kamalei Correa as an inside linebacker.
Correa was drafted No. 42 overall in last year’s draft as a 3-4 edge rusher, but Baltimore quickly moved him inside last spring. The coaching staff said he lacked instincts and needs to dissect plays faster. Correa ended up playing just 49 snaps as a rookie but could replace recently-retired Zach Orr as the starter next to C.J. Mosley. Correa will certainly face competition.
