Broncos selected Washington ILB Keishawn Bierria with the No. 217 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Bierria (6’0/230) was a three-plus-year starter for the Huskies, earning second-team All-Pac 12 honors as a junior and senior with 19.5 career tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles. He was exposed as a substandard athlete at the Combine, managing tenth-percentile SPARQ results with poor forty (4.79) and three-cone (7.26) times. A solid college player whose ceiling is limited in the pros, Bierria wins with discipline and fundamentals over power and athletic ability. He may max out on special teams.
