Chiefs selected USC S Leon McQuay with the No. 218 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
McQuay (6'1/197) didn’t workout in the lead-up to the draft due to a hamstring injury. He started 10 games his first three years as a Trojan before taking over as the full-time starter as a senior, earning honorable mention All-Pac 12 with 50 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a pair of interceptions. McQuay misses far too many tackles but has the speed and athleticism to translate.
