Ross

Ross annually makes the rounds as a seemingly coveted GM candidate, but never actually follows through on getting hired. His reputation isn’t particularly strong around the league. Regardless, the Titans will give Ross a look-see in their quest to replace Ruston Webster, who was fired on Monday.

A member of the Giants’ organization since 2007, Ross has interviewed for countless GM openings around the league over the last half decade. He was once viewed as the eventual successor to Jerry Reese, who was fired two weeks ago. Ross’ interview satisfies the Rooney Rule for the Giants. Ex-Panthers GM Dave Gettleman is still considered the frontrunner to replace Reese.

Ross was interviewed for the vacant GM job earlier this month, but the Giants decide to go with Dave Gettleman, who has now fired Ross just days after taking over. Looking to reshape the franchise quickly, Gettleman also waived Bobby Hart on Saturday.
