Davis

Davis is the most notable name. The former Virginia Tech Hokie lasted all of one week on the roster. Davis’ measurables look great on paper, but he plays soft. The G-Men signed three tryout players in a corresponding move: WR Jeremy Horne and DBs Junior Mertile and John Stevenson.

Davis boasts an exciting size/speed combination (6-foot-3, 233 pounds, 4.59 40-yard dash), but struggles in traffic and is a poor blocker. He’s always looked better in practice than in games. He’s a longshot flier for Gang Green.

Davis, an undrafted rookie out of Virginia Tech, has now been waived by two teams in three months. He looks good getting off the bus at 6'3/233, but has been slapped with a soft label after shying from contact in college games.
