The Colts are expected to use Marlin Jackson at cornerback this season, not safety.
It was rumored the 2005 first-round pick would change positions. “We’re pretty optimistic that Bob Sanders and Mike Doss will be healthy going into training camp,” coach Tony Dungy said. “If they are, my guess is we’ll leave (Jackson) at corner.” Jackson could start.

Eagles FS Marlin Jackson (ACL surgery) is a full participant at OTAs.
The two-year, $6 million offseason signing practiced ahead of rookie Nate Allen on Wednesday, though Allen is a good bet to supplant him by the start of the season. Quintin Demps doesn’t appear to be in the mix at free safety.

Updating a previous item, Eagles FS Marlin Jackson ran with a noticeable limp at OTAs on Wednesday.
Jackson was a full participant, but almost all observers suggested he was nowhere close to 100 percent. That’s understandable considering Jackson is just six months removed from his latest knee surgery. Rookie Nate Allen is going to get every chance to win the free safety job.

Coach Tony Dungy described Marlin Jackson’s (shoulder) status for Sunday’s game as ''doubtful.’'
Interestingly, Jackson is actually listed as ''questionable’’ on the injury report.

Colts rookie cornerback Marlin Jackson is being sued for $10 million over an altercation that happened in 2003.
Shahin Farokhrany alleges he’s suffered permanent vision loss, mental and physical anguish after Jackson reportedly struck him with a bottle. In the past, Farokhrany has said he wouldn’t pursue legal action and didn’t suffer permanent damage.

Colts signed Marlin Jackson, the 29th pick of the NFL Draft, to a five-year, $6.975 million contract.
The deal includes $4.350 million in guarantees. The physical former Michigan star has a great chance of starting from week one in Indianapolis. Because he could be targeted so often, he may be a decent fantasy cornerback this year.

WR Roy Hall (separated left shoulder) is expected to miss at least three weeks.
Hall was injured during a kickoff collision with Texans DL Cedric Killings in Week 3. Several Colts sat out Wednesday’s practice, including Tyjuan Hagler (player decision), cornerback Marlin Jackson (quadriceps) guard Ryan Lilja (knee), but all are expected to play this week.

Kelvin Hayden is expected to replace Jason David as the Colts’ starting right cornerback this season.
Daymeion Hughes and Tim Jennings will compete for nickel duties behind Hayden and left corner Marlin Jackson. Hayden, a second-round pick out of Illinois in 2005, was the hero of last season’s Super Bowl win over the Bears.

Despite suffering a concussion Sunday, NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports Colts CB Marlin Jackson is not expected to miss any playing time.
Jackson was sidelined during the third quarter of Sunday’s game with what was originally called a neck injury and didn’t return. The Colts fully expect Jackson to be available for normal duty against New England.
