    Agent Steve Hilliard wouldn’t say whether it was a one-year or a multiyear proposal. While the rotation is looking better, the White Sox do need to upgrade to Pierzynski behind the plate or Alex Cora at second base if they want to challenge the Twins.

    Manager Ron Gardenhire knows that Pierzynski hates hitting eighth, but that’s where he hit last year when he hit .300 with 49 RBI. Pierzynski is currently hitting .233 with five RBI. Anything that could help him get going is good for his value.
