Blue Jays acquired INF Adrian Pinto and OF Raimel Tapia from the Rockies for OF Randal Grichuk and cash considerations.
Pinto isn’t just a throw-in here and might one day prove to be the overall headliner of this trade. The 19-year-old native of Venezuela batted .360/.487/.543 with three home runs and 41 stolen bases over 54 games last season in the Dominican Summer League while appearing defensively at shortstop, second base, and center field.
