Nationals acquired RHP Aldo Ramirez from the Red Sox in exchange of OF Kyle Schwarber.
Ramirez is one of the better pitching prospects in the Boston system, and sports a 2.03 ERA in 31 innings for Low-A Salem. While not overpowering, he has outstanding command, and his change could be an out pitch. There’s work to be done -- Ramirez doesn’t turn 21 until next May -- but he could be a mid-rotation starter when all is said and done.
