Colomé made four relief appearances earlier this season for the White Sox before being sent back to the minors. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has been cut loose after pitching to the tune of a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 26/15 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings (33 appearances) for Triple-A Charlotte.

Colomé went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week and is now off Chicago’s 40-man roster entirely. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has the ability to elect free agency, but might wind up sticking around at Triple-A Charlotte as extra organizational relief depth.

Colome lasted just eight days in his return to the White Sox. He allowed four runs -- two earned -- in three innings over four appearances.

Colomé signed a minor league contract with the White Sox last month after being released by the Nationals at the conclusion of spring training. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander will be available out of the bullpen for Tuesday’s series opener against the division-rival Twins.

Colomé is back with the team he played for from 2019-2020. The 34-year-old was released by the Nationals at the end of spring training and will now try to work his way back to the majors.

Colomé opted not to stick around after failing to make the Nationals’ season-opening roster and should be able to find another opportunity somewhere else. The 34-year-old veteran settled for a minor league contract back in January and will likely have to pitch at Triple-A for a bit to earn another shot in the majors.

It’s a bit surprising that at least one of this trio didn’t end up making the Nationals’ Opening Day roster. Colomé figured to have the best shot after signing a minor league contract back in late January.

Colomé settles for a minor league deal after a poor second half with the Rockies that included an absence due to an elbow impingement. He’s been very durable otherwise, and though he doesn’t get many strikeouts these days while focusing on his cutter, he offers strong groundball numbers. He should make the Nationals, and he could be a fallback for saves if Kyle Finnegan stumbles.

Colomé was away from the Rockies for a few days, but will be back in Colorado’s bullpen on Saturday evening against the Padres.

Colomé will be away from the team for at least a few days. Right-hander Gavin Hollowell will take his place on the active roster.
