Rays RHP prospect Benton Moss hurled seven shutout frames Wednesday in a no-decision for High-A Charlotte.
He struck out six while allowing just one hit. That hit came on Ronnie Mitchell’s two-out single in the fourth inning. The right-hander induced 10 groundouts in his longest start since April. The 2015 sixth-round pick is tied for second in the Florida State League with 57 strikeouts despite winning just two of his 10 starts this season.
