Angels placed RHP Bobby Cassevah on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a sore right shoulder.

Bobby Cassevah is likely to open the season on the disabled list after he suffered a setback with his shoulder earlier this week.
Cassevah has yet to make his Cactus League debut due to a slight tear in his shoulder, an injury which was diagnosed last year but did not require surgery. The 26-year-old right-hander was making steady progress until the shoulder tightened up following a bullpen workout. The timeline for his return isn’t yet clear.

Jered Weaver left Monday’s start against the Yankees in the first inning with an apparent injury.
Weaver threw just 12 pitches before suffering the injury. He attempted to throw a warm-up pitch to see if he could continue, but he had trouble putting weight on his left leg. He gave up one run on two hits and an error before leaving the game. Bobby Cassevah has replaced him in relief. Stay tuned for an update on his status.
