Cubs’ prospect Charcer Burks went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI as Mesa defeated Glendale 5-1 in Arizona Fall League play on Friday.
The 22-year-old opened some eyes this season, slashing .270/.370/.395 with 10 homers, 40 RBI and 16 stolen bases in his first exposure at Double-A Tennessee. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get his first taste of the big leagues at some point during the 2018 season.
