Jones, 24, posted a 3.90 ERA and 61/19 K/BB ratio over 60 innings of relief last season with the Braves’ Double-A affiliate in Mississippi. He will be assigned to Double-A Bowie.

Jones was designated for assignment earlier this week, and now he’s free to seek employment elsewhere. The left-hander put up a 2.85 ERA with 53 strikeouts over 79 innings between Double- and Triple-A last season.

Jones was designated for assignment last month after the Nelson Cruz signing, but now he’s back in the fold. The 25-year-old had a 2.85 ERA with 53 strikeouts over 79 innings last season between Double- and Triple-A.

The move clears a spot for Nelson Cruz on the 40-man roster. Acquired from the Braves in the Luis Ayala deal last April, Jones is coming off a 2.85 ERA and 53 strikeouts over 79 innings in 2013 between Double- and Triple-A. He was just added to the 40-man roster in November.

Jones, 27, had a rough 6.32 ERA and 31/14 K/BB ratio in 47 innings over nine starts in Triple-A. He’ll pitch in middle relief.

Jones was designated for assignment earlier this week. In 10 starts at Triple-A Salt Lake, he had posted a tough 7.33 ERA over 50 1/3 innings. The Angels might call him up again when they need an extra arm, but regardless, no fantasy intrigue here.

The move clears a 40-man roster spot for reliever Jose Valdez, who was acquired from the Tigers on Tuesday for cash considerations. Jones has a 7.33 ERA through 50 1/3 innings (10 starts) this season with Triple-A Salt Lake. He’ll probably clear waivers.

Jones saw a brief cup of coffee with the Angels in late May, but has yet to log an appearance at the major league level. In nine starts at Triple-A, he held a 6.32 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 31/14 K/BB ratio.

Jones was added to the Orioles’ 40-man roster in November so that he wouldn’t be exposed to the Rule 5 Draft, but he was never in serious consideration for an Opening Day roster spot this spring. The 27-year-old left-hander will work out of the rotation at Norfolk.

The Orioles designated Jones for assignment last week, but the Angels thought he merited a spot on their 40-man roster. He has enjoyed sustained success at the Triple-A level, posting a 2.94 ERA last year and a 3.12 ERA over the last three seasons. The lefty should give the Angels more minor-league depth in their thin rotation.
