Angels sent INF/OF Cole Tucker outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Tucker batted .180/.263/.300 with three steals in 57 plate appearances over 24 games in a brief stint with the Angels and wound up going unclaimed after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 27-year-old appears likely to stick around as extra organizational depth for now.
  • LAA Shortstop #8
Angels designated INF/OF Cole Tucker for assignment.
Tucker hit just .180/.263/.300 in 57 plate appearances for the Angels. He still offers plenty of defensive versatility, but it’s just not enough to justify a roster spot.
  • LAA Shortstop #2
Luis Rengifo (illness) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Pirates.
Rengifo remains out of the lineup for the fourth consecutive contest due to illness. The versatile 27-year-old remains day-to-day for the moment. It’ll be Brandon Drury at the keystone and Cole Tucker at the hot corner once again on Tuesday night.
  • LAA Shortstop #8
Cole Tucker is starting at third base for the Angels and hitting eighth against the Pirates on Monday.
Tucker was called up a week ago and has now started in four games, including the last two at this base. The 27-year-old is 5-for-12 with two doubles, a run, an RBI, and three steals so far. The former Pirates prospect hasn’t been able to sustain any production at the MLB level, but he was showing a more aggressive, pull-centric approach at Triple-A and has been running often in his brief stint with the Angels. He could be worth a dart throw in AL-only and other deep formats to see if he can carve out a full-time job for the banged-up Angels.
  • LAA Center Fielder
Angels purchased the contract of INF Cole Tucker from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Tucker is taking the roster spot of Aaron Hicks after Hicks was removed from the roster after being designated for assignment. Tucker played well for the Bees before his promotion with a .908 OPS, and Tucker should see some at-bats for the not-so-good Los Angeles lineup.
  • LAA Center Fielder
Angels signed INF/OF Cole Tucker to a minor league contract.
Tucker will head to Triple-A Salt Lake as extra organizational depth for Los Angeles just a few weeks after being released by the Mariners. The 27-year-old former top prospect got into five contests last year for the Rockies in his latest stint in the big leagues.
  • FA Center Fielder #3
    Mariners released INF/OF Cole Tucker.
Tucker, who was reassigned to minor league camp last week, requested the move. It’s doubtful that he’ll land an Opening Day roster spot with another team. A one-time top prospect of the Pirates, he’s hit .216/.266/.318 in 479 PA as a major leaguer.
  • SEA Catcher #80
Mariners reassigned C Harry Ford, LHP Kirby Snead, INFs Cole Young, Tyler Locklear and Cole Tucker to minor league camp.
Ford’s unique speed and athleticism gives him a chance to be high-impact fantasy contributor at some point in the near future. Meanwhile, Young and Locklear are a bit underrated from a fantasy standpoint, depending on the source, but they figure to continue rising up dynasty rankings over the next few months. Young specifically has a chance to blossom into one of the top prospects in baseball as he ascends into the upper minors.
  • SEA Center Fielder #3
Mariners signed INF/OF Cole Tucker to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Tucker was once a top prospect in the Pirates organization but never quite put things together at the highest level. He spent last season in the Rockies organization, hitting .280/.391/.407 across 70 games with Triple-A Albuquerque. The 27-year-old will serve as organizational depth for the Mariners.
  • COL Center Fielder #3
Rockies sent INF/OF Cole Tucker outright to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Tucker predictably went unclaimed on waivers after being jettisoned from Colorado’s 40-man roster earlier this week. The versatile 27-year-old will presumably elect to stick around with the Rockies with just a few weeks left in the regular season.
