Cubs signed RHP Collin Snider to a minor league contract.
Snider busted out in 2024, posting a 1.94 ERA and a 47/13 K/BB in 41 2/3 innings for the Mariners, but he showed up with diminished velocity last spring and struggled for two months before going on the IL with a flexor strain. He resumed pitching in mid-July, but the Mariners never activated him, and he cleared waivers before finishing the season in Triple-A. If his stuff comes back, he could be of a lot of help in the Cubs pen.

Mariners sent RHP Collin Snider outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 29-year-old righty will likely remain with Seattle as emergency organizational relief depth.

Collin Snider worked a scoreless inning Thursday in his third rehab appearance for Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider has yet to allow a run in his PCL stint. The right-hander has been on the injured list since June 4 with a flexor strain, but he should rejoin the Mariners pen soon.

Mariners placed RHP Collin Snider on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm flexor strain.
Snider hits the injured list after allowing nine runs – seven earned – over his last three relief outings, leaving him with a lackluster 5.47 ERA across 26 1/3 innings (24 appearances) this season. The 29-year-old righty figures to return in a couple weeks to Seattle’s bullpen mix.

Andrés Muñoz pitched a hitless ninth for a save against the Red Sox on Thursday.
Muñoz has allowed just five hits in 13 scoreless innings this season and none in his last five appearances. He’s 9-for-9 saving games. Since he has now worked on back-to-back days, he will probably be unavailable Friday. Collin Snider could be the top candidate to fill in should a save opportunity arise.

Collin Snider completed a scoreless inning for the Mariners in Friday’s game against the Royals.
Some good news for Seattle. Snider, who turned into an excellent setup man last season, was really struggling with his velocity down about two mph this spring. Today, though, he averaged 94.0 mph with his fastball, just off last year’s mark of 94.2 mph. If he keeps that up, he’ll have a chance of staying ahead of Gregory Santos and serving as the Mariners’ eighth-inning guy.

Mariners recalled RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider joins Seattle’s bullpen mix ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Rays with starter Bryan Woo hitting the injured list with a hamstring strain. The 28-year-old righty is back for a third stint this season with the Mariners and figures to be up-and-down over the next few months.

Mariners optioned RHP Collin Snider to Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider is heading back to Triple-A despite pitching well since being promoted from Tacoma; not allowing a run in any of his appearances. He’s sent down with Matt Bowman getting added to the active roster.

Mariners recalled RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma.
The 28-year-old right-hander will get a chance to work out of the M’s bullpen with Gabe Speier (shoulder) landing on the injured list. Snider has made three appearances at the big league level this season, registering a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 2/1 K/BB ratio across his three frames. Expect him to be utilized in a middle relief role.
