Royals signed INF Connor Kaiser to a minor league contract.
Kaiser fortifies Kansas City’s infield depth heading into spring training. The 28-year-old got into 11 games for the Diamondbacks this past season, going 2-for-18 with a pair of RBI during that span. He can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #24
Diamondbacks sent LHP Kyle Nelson, RHP John Curtiss, RHP Casey Kelly and INF Connor Kaiser outright to Triple-A Reno.
The move clears space on the 40-man roster. Nelson could elect free agency, but he’s likely looking at a minor-league contract regardless and will need to be added back to a 40-man in order to pitch in the majors in 2026. The same can be applied to all parties named in the section above.
  • ARI 2nd Baseman #65
Diamondbacks recalled INF Connor Kaiser from Triple-A Reno.
Kaiser heads back to Arizona with veteran outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. set to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee. The 28-year-old infielder went 2-for-14 with a pair of RBI in five games with the Diamondbacks last month.
  • ARI Shortstop #65
Diamondbacks optioned INF Connor Kaiser to Triple-A Reno.
Kaiser went 2-for-14 with a pair of RBI in five games for Arizona during a brief stint with the club. He’s been jettisoned to the minors with veteran Ildemaro Vargas coming off the injured list.

Ketel Marte is on the bench for Sunday’s series finale against the Rockies.
Marte draws his first off day since August 3 amid a sizzling-hot seven-game stretch where he’s batting .414 (12-for-29) with two homers, 11 RBI and one steal. It’ll be Connor Kaiser filling in at the keystone on Sunday afternoon at Coors Field.
  • ARI 2nd Baseman #4
Ketel Marte is on the bench for Sunday’s series finale against the Athletics.
It’s a well-earned day off for Marte, who homered during Saturday’s victory over the Athletics, and hasn’t had a break since July 21. It’ll be Connor Kaiser taking over at the keystone in his absence.
  • ARI Shortstop #65
Diamondbacks selected the contract of INF Connor Kaiser from Triple-A Reno.
Kaiser will get his first taste of MLB action in 2025 after signing a minor-league deal with the D-backs back in November. The 28-year-old helps Arizona with their depth, but doesn’t have the skills to help fantasy teams, with all due respect.
  • ARI Shortstop #55
Diamondbacks signed INF Connor Kaiser to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Kaiser, who had a brief major league stint with the Rockies in 2023, hit .221/.343/.339 for Colorado’s Triple-A affiliate last season. The 27-year-old will likely serve as Triple-A depth for the Diamondbacks.
  • COL 3rd Baseman #76
Rockies optioned INF Warming Bernabel to Double-A Hartford; reassigned INFs Connor Kaiser, Grant Lavigne and Ryan Ritter, OFs Benny Montgomery and Bladimir Restituyo, LHPs Carson Palmquist and Joe Rock and RHP Kyle Wilcox to minor league camp.
Bernabel was added to Colorado’s 40-man roster back in 2022 and will open the year back in the upper minors. The other notable names here are Kaiser and Wilcox, but that’s pretty much it from the first batch of cuts in Rockies camp.
  • COL Shortstop #56
Rockies re-signed SS Connor Kaiser to a minor league contract.
Kaiser has opted to return to Colorado for the 2024 season after getting three contests this past season as an emergency stopgap while starting shortstop Ezequiel Tovar was away from the club on paternity leave. The 26-year-old middle infielder will presumably head back to Triple-A Albuquerque to open next season.
