Rockies signed OF Danny Amaral to a minor league contract.
The 26-year-old was drafted by the Pirates in the 14th round of the 2018 draft and bounced around their minor league system for six years before being cut loose early on in the 2022 season. He latched on with the Sioux City Explorers in the independent American Association where he slashed .295/.388/.441 with eight homers, 26 RBI and 48 stolen bases in 85 games. It was enough to pique the interest of the Rockies and land him a minor league deal.
