Red Sox acquired RHP Diego Hernandez and cash considerations from the Yankees for OF Greg Allen.

Hernandez -- and 18-year-old right-hander from Mexico -- posted a 2.10 ERA,1.11 WHIP and a 48/14 K/BB ratio across 34 1/3 innings in the Dominican Summer League during the 2022 season. He’s an intriguing young arm, but is many years away from potentially helping the Red Sox at the big league level.
