White Sox signed RHP Donn Roach to a minor league contract.
Roach spent most of the 2018 season in Japan, posting a rough 5.01 ERA and 19/15 K/BB ratio in 50 1/3 innings for the Orix Buffaloes. The 29-year-old righty will probably open the 2019 campaign at Triple-A Charlotte.

Padres acquired RHP Donn Roach and INF-OF Alexi Amarista from the Angels for RHP Ernesto Frieri.
Roach, a 2010 third-round pick, has a 3.97 ERA over his first 165 2/3 innings of pro ball. The 22-year-old right-hander has logged time as both a starter and reliever, but he had an impressive 2.16 ERA and 29/3 K/BB ratio in 41 2/3 innings over his first five starts with High-A Inland Empire this season. He’s expected to report to High-A Lake Elsinore.

Padres reassigned RHPs Brandon Kloess and Donn Roach to minor league camp.
Neither were real candidates for the Opening Day roster. Roach could make his major league debut at some point this season, though, after posting a 2.70 over four spring appearances.

Padres purchased the contract of RHP Donn Roach from Double-A San Antonio.
Roach made 28 starts for San Antonio this season, posting a 3.53 ERA over 142 2/3 innings of work. The move was made to protect the 23-year-old from December’s Rule 5 Draft.

Tigers claimed RHP Donn Roach off waivers from the Mariners.
Roach was designated for assignment by the M’s last week to open a spot for switch-pitcher Pat Venditte. The 26-year-old right-hander has a brutal 9.35 ERA in the majors over the last two seasons.

Tigers designated RHP Donn Roach for assignment.
The right-hander was claimed off waivers from the Mariners in early August. There’s a chance he’ll pass through waivers and continue to function as organizational rotation depth in the minor leagues.

Mariners optioned RHP Donn Roach to Triple-A Tacoma.
Roach was called up on Monday and made just one appearance during his brief stay in the big leagues. He’s looked outmatched in the majors this year with a disappointing 8.44 ERA over four contests.

Mariners purchased the contract of RHP Donn Roach from Triple-A Tacoma.
Roach has posted a 4.26 ERA with 5.0 K/9 and 1.6 BB/9 over 14 starts this year in Triple-A. The 26-year-old will provide some long relief help.

Mariners recalled RHP Donn Roach from Triple-A Tacoma.
He’ll take Wade Miley’s roster spot. Roach has allowed four runs in 3 1/3 innings in the majors this season and has a 4.21 ERA and 62/18 K/BB ratio over 104 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level.

Mariners recalled RHP Tom Wilhelmsen from Triple-A Tacoma.
Donn Roach was sent down in the corresponding move. Wilhelmsen signed a one-year deal with the Seattle last week after getting released by Texas. He owns a lousy 10.07 ERA over 22 appearances this year.
