    Strange-Gordon was scratched and Lane Thomas was inserted into the lineup. Davey Martinez said that the organization would decide Friday as to whether the team will make a roster move, but multiple outlets reported that Donovan Casey is on his way to join the team in Pittsburgh. There’s a very good chance Strange-Gordon will be placed on the injured list in the next 24 hours.

    This comes shortly after Dee Strange-Gordon was scratched from the lineup on Thursday against the Pirates. Casey, 26, was part of the trade that sent Trea Turner and Max Scherzer to the Dodgers and hit .269/.329/.430 slash with 16 homers and 22 stolen bases over 123 minor league games. There’s some intriguing fantasy tools here, but there’s no guarantee of early success.
