Athletics SS prospect Euribiel Angeles went 4-for-7 with two doubles on Thursday in a doubleheader for High-A Lansing.
Angeles went 3-for-4 in the first game and followed it with a 1-for-3 showing. The 19-year-old is off to a solid start for the Lugnuts with a slash of .318/.333/.409 over six games. It’s worth pointing out that this was a player who hit .343 last year while a member of the San Diego organization, and was the key prospect in the trade that shipped Sean Manaea from the Padres to the A’s. Angeles has excellent bat-to-ball skills with a hit tool that could be plus-plus, and he has a chance to stay up the middle. He’s an extremely underrated fantasy prospect at this point in his career.
