Rays acquired INF Gionti Turner from the Indians for RHP Chih-Wei Hu.
Turner, 18, was a 27th-round pick for Cleveland earlier this year. He batted .296/.348/.396 with one homer and nine steals over 46 games in rookie ball during his first stint in the pro ball. He’s an interesting lottery ticket as the Rays trim their 40-man roster.
