2004 second-round pick Grant Johnson pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight yesterday.
Johnson is 2-4 with a 4.06 ERA, 36 H and 34/15 K/BB in 44 1/3 IP since returning from a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old right-hander out of Notre Dame has plenty of potential as a starting pitcher, but he has had difficulty staying healthy.
