Dodgers re-signed C Hamlet Marte to a minor league contract.
Marte returns to the Dodgers’ organization as extra catching depth in the upper minors. The 28-year-old backstop appeared in just seven contests last season for Triple-A Oklahoma City. He’s merely emergency catching depth at this stage of his career.

Dodgers re-signed C Hamlet Marte to a minor league contract.
Marte posted an underwhelming .206/.276/.328 triple-slash line with three homers and one steal in 145 plate appearances between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City in the Dodgers’ system last year. The 27-year-old backstop will once again bolster the Dodgers’ minor-league catching depth this upcoming season.

Dodgers signed C Hamlet Marte to a minor league contract.
Marte returns to the Dodgers after spending the 2019 campaign in the Giants’ organization. There, he hit an anemic .200/.277/.267 with two homers and 26 RBI in 76 games between High-A San Jose and Double-A Richmond. He should be considered nothing more than minor league catching depth for the Dodgers.

Giants signed C Hamlet Marte to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Marte, 24, hit .269/.342/.477 with 12 homers between High- and Double-A last season in the Dodgers organization. Whether he can impress enough in spring training to be, or not to be, Buster Posey’s backup, that is the question.
