White Sox signed second-round pick RHP Jared Kelley.
Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports that the deal is worth $3 million. The slot value for the pick (No. 47 overall) was $1.58 million, so the White Sox had to pay up in order to keep the prep right-hander away from Texas. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Kelley already boasts three strong pitches with a fastball which can reach the high-90s.
