Joe Inglett is back at second base on Sunday after missing three games with a sprained left foot.
Inglett will continue to share time with Hector Luna at second base.

Joe Inglett finished 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox.
Inglett had to be disappointed to see the Indians get Hector Luna back when they traded Ronnie Belliard, but he’ll still see quite a bit of playing time the rest of the way, leaving him with a little value in AL-only leagues. Both Inglett and Luna started tonight, as third baseman Andy Marte sat out.

Joe Inglett left Thursday’s game in the seventh inning with a sprained left foot.
Hector Luna will play regularly at second base for however long Inglett is out.

Indians purchased the contract of infielder Joe Inglett from Triple-A Buffalo.
Inglett, who turns 28 next week, will be making his major league debut after hitting .299/.358/.389 in 157 at-bats for Buffalo. He might only be carried until Jeremy Sowers is recalled to act as the Indians’ fifth starter. It’s possible that he’d be a decent utilityman, but the Indians don’t have many at-bats available for him.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman
Joe Inglett was 2-for-4 with an RBI single Wednesday.
He’s added his fourth double and has now driven in 11 runs. Inglett could wrestle playing time away from a struggling Hector Luna, who was shifted over to third base for the game.
  • MLB Outfield #91
Carlos Gomez (shoulder) is out of the starting lineup on Friday.
As expected. There’s no official word from the team about Gomez’s left shoulder following an MRI on Friday, but it’s safe to say he’ll at least miss the weekend. Jim Edmonds will start in center field again on Friday, while Joe Inglett logs a rare start in right.
  • PIT Outfield
Corey Hart is out of the lineup against the Braves on Monday.
Hart takes a seat against right-hander Tommy Hanson, while Joe Inglett will fill in.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman
Joe Inglett left Saturday’s game with a sprained left ankle.
Inglett was making a rare start in left field, but hurt himself sliding into home in the fifth inning and was pulled from the ballgame. He was replaced by Jody Gerut, who is back in town following the birth of his daughter.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman
Joe Inglett returned to action as a pinch-hitter against the Astros on Tuesday.
He was hit by a pitch in his only at-bat in the seventh inning. Inglett left Saturday’s game against the Twins with a sprained left ankle.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman
Indians designated infielder Joe Inglett for assignment.
The Indians seemed fond of Inglett as a utilityman last year, but he hurt his quad in spring training, ruining his chances of making the team, and he never got a look this year after hitting just .253/.327/.367 for Buffalo. He’ll probably go unclaimed on waivers.
